As a key leader in the classroom, you will create a warm and engaging space that promotes curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills. This role is vital in fostering a love for learning while meeting each child's individual needs through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early development and help set the stage for lifelong success. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum using Tools of the Mind Lead daily classroom activities while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective guidance strategies Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress and build strong relationships Collaborate with team members to support children requiring special education or early intervention services Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development Conduct assessments, including standardized tools when appropriate, to monitor progress and guide instruction Train, support, and supervise a classroom assistant teacher Meet with families throughout the year to discuss student progress Participate in Open House, Back-to-School Night, staff meetings, and professional development days Maintain accurate records and utilize technology for communication and documentation Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 1 year experience as a Preschool Lead Teacher (required) Strong knowledge of early childhood development, curriculum planning, and classroom management Experience with Tools of the Mind curriculum (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs Strong organizational and classroom leadership abilities Proficiency in technology for instructional and communication purposes Certification in First Aid and CPR (preferred) Knowledge of child welfare regulations and mandated reporting laws License/Certification Requirements Valid New Jersey P-3
