Job Description

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic School is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Classroom Assistant to support our early childhood program. In this role, you will partner with the lead teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment where our youngest learners can grow spiritually, academically, and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Support:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons, circle time activities, and hands-on learning centers.
Classroom Management:
Help maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment; assist with transitions, recess, and lunchtime routines.
Student Care:
Provide individualized attention to children, assisting with their social-emotional needs, personal hygiene/bathroom routines, and creative play.
Faith Modeling:
Support the Catholic mission of the school by participating in daily prayers and modeling Christian values of kindness and respect.
Communication:
Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with teachers, staff, and parents.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required (degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus). Previous experience working with young children (Preschool-Kindergarten) in a school, daycare, or camp setting. Ability to pass all required background checks and safe environment training. A warm, patient demeanor and a strong commitment to supporting a Catholic school environment.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
