Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in curriculum development, classroom management, and child development instruction. This role involves fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through age-appropriate activities and effective communication with parents. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in supporting children's early learning experiences and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational best practices. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes social skills, independence, and curiosity among preschool children. Monitor and assess each child's progress, adjusting instruction to meet individual needs. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and safe environment. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings, reports, or informal updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student attendance and activities. Incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other subject areas into daily activities. Support children with special needs through individualized instruction or collaboration with specialists in early intervention or special education. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Stay current with developments in childhood development, early childhood education techniques, and relevant regulations. Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required, minimally 1 year. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, Montessori methods, or standardized testing is advantageous. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable. Proven ability to communicate effectively with young children and their families. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies.
