Our client is looking for an energetic, organized, and inspiring leader to join their premier preschool in Parsippany, NJ as an Assistant Director . The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who has extensive experience within a licensed preschool. This is a Direct Hire position with the school Full-time; Monday - Friday; year-round employment Salary $20.00-$24.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Benefits Health Insurance Employee Discount Sick Time 401(k) w/ Match Commuter Benefits Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Child Development Associate (CDA) Sponsorship Job Responsibilities - Assist the Center Director with the following: Provide strategic support to the Director, grow enrollment, attract and retain teachers, and build strong community relations. Ensure compliance with all state safety, fire, quality programming, educational and staffing regulations as required by NJSDCF licensing and accreditation. Ensure your center meets state licensing and safety standards while incorporating all core values (Safety, Courtesy, Education, Efficiency). Motivate, coach and train teachers to deliver creative programs, service excellence and core values. Deeply connect with students, colleagues and parents to vigorously uphold a culture of welcome, safety and respect. Invoke a robust learning atmosphere that leads students to deeply value being at school and feel part of a rigorous and joyful learning community. Assist in the classrooms as needed Qualifications
REQUIRED
Minimum Education:
Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification
PREFERRED
Education:
A completed degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; if degree is not in a related field, at least 15 Early Childhood Education related credits are required
REQUIRED
Teaching Experience:
At least 2-years of Early Childhood Education (birth to 5-years-old) teaching experience Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler classrooms, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility
