Position Overview You will provide a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. You will be responsible for the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children. You will ensure that all parents, children, and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed. Position Responsibilities Ensures that the physical, social and emotional needs of the children are met daily Ensures all licensing regulations, policies and procedures to keep the children healthy and safe are being implemented. Creates activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children through well defined interest areas through completion and implementation of lesson plans Assists and supervises children during all activities Completes all Academy and classroom paperwork: for example, daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports Attends and participates in staff meetings, Academy events, and parent meetings, as requested Assists children with meal times and cleanup Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner Interacts with parents and maintains open communication to encourage family engagement Schedules and conducts parent and teacher conferences throughout the year Performs other similar or related duties as necessary Position Requirements Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a CDA or further degree in the field of education and classroom teaching experience to be considered for this position Previous experience of at least one year in childcare, teaching, or other related fields (preferred) Positive and patient demeanor Passionate about working with children Excellent verbal and written communication skills Action oriented, organized, strategic thinker, and reliable Kiddie Academy of Lopatcong is an equal opportunity employer with a good work environment, great pay, and excellent benefits, including the following: Paid time off Child Care Discount Supportive, on-site owner Company paid professional development support including paid training and professional resources Ability to commute/relocate Lopatcong, NJ 08865: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) If you are enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated, we are looking for you!
