Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to manage a classroom effectively. Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings is essential, along with a passion for early childhood education and caregiving. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence Monitor and assess each child's developmental progress, providing support tailored to individual needs Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering (for infants/toddlers), and outdoor activities Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and maintain a cohesive educational approach Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing appropriate care Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices Experience with classroom management and behavior guidance strategies Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected Previous nannying, babysitting, or caregiving experience involving infants or toddlers is beneficial Demonstrated ability to engage children through nurturing care, teaching, and play-based learning This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives while working in a supportive educational environment.
