Job Overview:
The Childcare Worker/Infant Toddler Specialist will provide technical assistance and comprehensive services to aid and enhance the quality of childcare programs and registered family childcare providers serving infants & toddlers throughout Ocean County. This includes collecting and reporting critical data to support program assessment and development of new programs.Location:

5 years' experience working with young children and early childhood education, preferably with the birth - 3-year-old population; familiarity with ITERS-3 and Grow NJ Kids preferred; Bi-lingual preferred.Primary Job Responsibilities:
Promote and support DFD goals, programs & quality enhancement initiatives in existing programs that serve infants and toddlers; Provide both targeted and in-depth support to programs serving infants and toddlers through coaching, training, on-site consultation & technical assistance, resource sharing, community outreach and referral to other agencies and quality partners; Recruit providers into the Infant Toddler Support Network to exceed DFD minimum requirements; Maintain a schedule of contacts & site visits to all programs in the ITSN as directed; Conduct ITERS-3 assessments at programs throughout the county in line with ITSN protocol; Participate in on-going training and reliability efforts related to ERS tools and other tools and training programs as assigned; Achieve and maintain accountability status for both ITERS-3 and FCCERS; Achieve and maintain Instructor approval through NJCCIS and any other appropriate agencies; Become familiar with and implement IACET standards and guidelines in the creation and implementation of all professional development events; Achieve and maintain training credentials for Growing Brain, Zero to Three, PITC, NJ Birth-3 Learning Guidelines, ASQ-3 ASQ-SE and other topics as assigned; Achieve and maintain mastery of all training materials and vehicles, including Zoom, PowerPoint and Google Slides; Create training materials & provide training on the above topics as assigned, both virtually and in-person, and any additional topics as directed; Work with the lead trainer to coordinate the Professional Development Calendar and provide professional development in line with IACET guidelines on infant/toddler related topic as needed to meet the needs of the community, including daytime, evenings and weekends, both virtually and in-person; Promote public awareness of the services through the dissemination of information including presentation at meetings, workshops, conferences, public service announcements, print materials and presentations to organizations & agencies; Participate in community events as directed to promote quality enhancement initiatives; Participate in Quality Team events as directed, including director's meetings, information sessions, CDA training, Books Balls & Blocks, screening events, Winter Conference, Children's Festival Complete all program notes and reports and submit in a timely manner; Use NJCCIS to track all program referrals, applications, participation agreements, ERS scores, action plans and technical assistance; Solicit, collect and organize feedback and needs assessment information from ITSN participants, training participants and the infant toddler community in general; Participate in meetings, workgroups and committees as a DFD quality partner stakeholder; Inform and educate about DFD quality initiatives, including ITSN & Grow NJ Kids; Work closely with the Quality Improvement Specialist to support and encourage transition to GNJK and facilitate and ensure internal communication and knowledge sharing takes place effectively; Work closely with Infant Toddler Specialists in other counties and other departments and agencies to coordinate outreach services and to facilitate and ensure internal / external communication and knowledge sharing takes place effectively; Work closely with all members of the Quality Team to support quality initiatives and activities throughout the county; Participate in and complete all ECLI professional development requirements. Complete professional development as directed to develop and enhance coaching, mentoring and instructor skills;Additional Required Skills:
Excellent teamwork, communication & interpersonal skills, above average computer skills and a good working knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Outlook are required. Candidate must approach their work with cultural sensitivity towards all participants and staff. Candidate must have a reliable car and a valid driver's license.
