We are currently hiring Part-Time Aftercare Teachers for the Summer Camp with potential for 26/27 school year position.
About Beth El Early Childhood Center:
The Early Childhood Center at Congregation Beth El is a warm, welcoming early childhood center that blends high-quality early education with the richness of Jewish traditions and values. Located within a vibrant synagogue community, our preschool serves children and families of all backgrounds and religious affiliations —creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Our play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum supports the whole child—nurturing emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual growth. Through hands-on learning, Jewish holiday celebrations, Hebrew language exposure, and age-appropriate rituals, we foster curiosity, creativity, and a joyful connection to community and tradition. Responsibilities:
Engage in fun and educational activities Foster a warm, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for all children Assist in supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times Help set up and clean up classroom activities and materials Model positive behavior and support social-emotional development Build meaningful, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow staff Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and supervisors Be open to ongoing learning and professional development
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age to meet State Licensing Requirement. Experience working with young children in a preschool, camp, babysitting or childcare setting (Experience in
Childcare:
1 year (Preferred)) Ability to meet state licensing requirements, including background checks and health clearances Strong communication and collaboration skills A warm, patient, and nurturing approach with children Willingness to learn about and participate in Jewish traditions and celebrations Dependable, flexible, and a team player
