Job Description
Gateway Christian Preschool is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Preschool Teacher who desires to make an impact in the lives of young children. If you have a heart for young children and a passion for Christian education, we would love to hear from you. Qualifications High school diploma. Previous preschool, daycare, or early childhood classroom experience is desirable but not required. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a growing Christian faith is required. Agreement with the mission, philosophy, and Statement of Faith of Gateway Christian School. A genuine love for young children and a desire to disciple them through everyday interactions. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with administration, fellow teachers, parents, and pastoral leadership. CPR and First Aid certification desirable (or willingness to obtain). Responsibilities Create a safe, nurturing, joyful, and Christ-centered classroom where every child feels loved and valued. Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that promote spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. Integrate biblical truth, Bible stories, Scripture, prayer, worship, and Christian character into daily classroom activities. Foster early literacy, language development, mathematics, science exploration, creative expression, and fine and gross motor skills through hands-on learning and play. Encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, kindness, and respect while using positive classroom management techniques. Build meaningful relationships with children and model Christlike love, patience, grace, and integrity in every interaction. Communicate regularly with parents regarding each child's development, progress, and classroom experiences while building strong home to school partnerships. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment by following all health, safety, licensing, and school policies. Attend faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events. Care for classroom materials and school property entrusted to your care. Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality and preparation. Be familiar with and follow all policies outlined in the school and preschool handbooks. Participate in ongoing self-evaluation and administrative evaluations as part of professional development. Why Gateway Christian School?
