Full Job Description Lead Teacher Duties:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities
  • Provide literacy education and promote language development
  • Conduct early intervention strategies to support students' learning and development
  • Incorporate physical education activities to promote gross motor skills
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience
  • Assist in curriculum development and modification to meet the needs of individual students
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and implement appropriate strategies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching certification/license
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation
  • Passion for educating and supporting students with diverse learning needs
