Full Job Description Lead Teacher Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide literacy education and promote language development
- Conduct early intervention strategies to support students' learning and development
- Incorporate physical education activities to promote gross motor skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience
- Assist in curriculum development and modification to meet the needs of individual students
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and implement appropriate strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation
- Passion for educating and supporting students with diverse learning needs
