This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with preschool-aged children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging lessons and nurturing classroom environments. As a vital part of our early childhood education initiative, you will implement curriculum tailored to early intervention and literacy education, ensuring each child's unique needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your energy and expertise will inspire young learners daily, creating a positive and dynamic educational experience. Hours Monday through Thursday 7:30am-2:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-4:00pm, off during the summers. There are mandatory trainings once per month that staff must attend Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards and emphasizes literacy, math, and social skills. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management techniques, and hands-on activities to promote active learning. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports child welfare and encourages positive behavior management. Work closely with children to support their developmental milestones in areas such as language acquisition, motor skills, and emotional regulation. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities, assessments, and standardized testing preparations to monitor student progress. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding each child's growth, behavior, and educational needs. Maintain detailed records of student development, attendance, and lesson plans in compliance with program guidelines. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool or early childhood education is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, special education strategies, and early intervention techniques. Experience in curriculum development focused on literacy education, math instruction, or physical education for young children. Familiarity with classroom management practices that promote positive behavior and child welfare. Previous involvement in daycare or private school settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus.
