Education Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related field and eligible for a Nevada teaching license.

Experience:

Experience in ECE is preferred. We expect candidates to assess students using a spectrum of tools, use assessment data to design Personal Learning Plans for all students and deliver high-quality instruction using a circle, center, and seat model. We expect candidates to deliver a positive behavior support system that enhances social and emotional growth. We expect candidates to engage students and their families to support the small school community. Experience in and understanding of these areas is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Candidates must meet all certification requirements as highly qualified early childhood education teachers in grades preschool through third grade. They are expected to understand early childhood development and be passionate about teaching young children. Candidates should also have a strong working knowledge of technology in the classroom setting.

Job Description:

Early Childhood Education teachers work as part of a collaborative P-3 team, ensuring all children are reading by third grade. Each team member adheres to high expectations and delivers effective instruction that yields positive student outcomes. Teachers collaborate to develop Personal Learning Plans for every student in all subject areas based on school-wide assessments and ensure student engagement, achievement, and growth. We expect all teachers to implement the SNACS model using choice and PLAY, ensuring all students learn. This requires teachers to be experts in facilitating learning across all learning platforms and not solely directed teaching. Whole group instruction time is minimal. Assessment data and Personal Learning Plans design instruction using a circle, center, seat model, and ability groups by subject area through promoting choice. We expect teachers to deliver a positive behavior support system that enhances social and emotional growth. We expect teachers to engage students and their families to support the small school community.
