Are you passionate about the education and development of young children? Pebbles Preschool, a ministry of The Rock Church, is looking for a dedicated, creative, hard-working Infant Teacher to join our team! Experience is required for this role. We are a Christian based school whose purpose is to provide quality care and education to children in the Reno/Sparks area.
  • This is a full time position (8 hour shift Monday-Friday)
  • Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement activities that encourage children's curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
  • Provide the children with age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, and social growth.
  • Adapt teaching methods and curriculum to meet student's varying needs and abilities.
  • Develop and execute lesson plans.
  • Incorporate Christian values and Biblical principals into daily curriculum and activities.
  • Help children develop problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Oversee safety in and out of the classroom.
  • Provide a supportive and safe environment where children can learn and practice appropriate behaviors.
  • Understand all school policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families and coworkers.
  • Completing initial childcare trainings and fulfilling 24 hours of continuing education per licensing year.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Patient and engaging personality.
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a high energy environment.
  • Displays a passion for teaching preschool children.
  • Knowledge of early learning curriculum and child development.
  • A positive mindset towards child learning and development.
  • Desire and ability to work with children with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability.
  • Dependable, responsible, punctual.
  • Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to fill in when required.
  • Familiarity with the licensing requirements of the State of Nevada.
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • A genuine love of what you do and the families you serve.
