Lead Teacher - Little Eagles Nest Daycare (Ardsley, NY) Where children learn through wonder, kindness and play. Little Eagles Nest (LEN) — a 4-Star Quality Rated , boutique-style Group Family Daycare — is growing! We're seeking an experienced Teacher to join our dedicated team at our Ardsley location. At LEN, we believe in nurturing the whole child through curiosity, play, and meaningful relationships. Our program blends Reggio Emilia / Montessori-inspired practices with a nature- and science-based curriculum. We serve organic meals, emphasize outdoor learning, and partner closely with families to create a warm, respectful, and joyful environment for both children and staff.
Position Details Full-Time:
Monday-Friday Age Groups:
Toddlers (18-36 months) & Pre-K (3-5 years)
Locations:
Ardsley, NY Your Role As a Lead Teacher, you'll be the heart of your classroom — guiding, teaching, and inspiring children through hands-on learning and play.
You will:
Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our creative curriculum Foster curiosity and independence through fun, meaningful activities Observe, document, and assess children's progress; conduct parent-teacher conferences Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment Collaborate with a supportive team of assistants, co-teachers & educational director Communicate effectively and warmly with parents via app and daily updates What We're Looking For You are: Experienced, dependable, and genuinely passionate about early childhood education Calm under pressure, organized, and creative in problem-solving A natural communicator who values teamwork and respect Warm, patient, and eager to help children grow emotionally and academically
Minimum Requirements:
