This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Childcare Program Director.

Responsibilities :

Provide classroom instruction and leadership Plan and implement learning experiences that advance the development of children Create weekly lesson plans Facilitate age-appropriate activities in the classroom Maintain a quality classroom environment that promotes the health, safety, and wellbeing of the children. Ensure children are properly supervised at all times Maintain confidentiality within the program/classroom Attend regular staff meetings and participate in ongoing mandated training. Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by OCFS, the Childcare Center, and the Faculty Student Association of CCC, Inc. Maintain accurate recordings and documentation Develop and maintain relationships with families Effectively communicate with co-workers, children, and parents/guardians Maintain consistency with time and attendance Other duties as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, or designated site supervisor

Physical Requirements and Environmental Demands:

Lift and carry both children (ages 6 weeks-5 years old) and equipment Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and get up and down regularly to properly engage with children Stand, walk, and occasionally run to ensure safety of children React quickly during emergency situations Feed children, change diapers, and assist with toileting and other daily functions as needed. The work environment is mostly indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Employees are required to go outside with children daily weather permitting.

Education Requirements:

Must posses at least one of the following: 1. Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field AND at least 1 year experience caring for infants/toddlers 2. Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) AND at least 2 years experience caring for children. 3. 9 College Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field with a plan of study leading to an Associate's Degree or

CDA AND 2

years experience working with children (1 must be with infants/toddlers).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Sign-on bonus available.
