KinderCare is seeking a Specialized Pre K Lead Teacher for our Commack center. In this role, you'll design engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum and lead an inclusive Pre-K classroom that prepares children for kindergarten. You will observe and assess growth, adapt instruction for diverse learners, and partner closely with families. As a leader in the classroom, you'll mentor assistants, ensure health and safety compliance, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused culture with opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities Lead a specialized Pre-K classroom, creating a safe, nurturing learning environment. Design and deliver developmentally appropriate, inclusive curriculum for 4-5-year-olds. Observe, document, and assess children's growth to inform instruction and support needs. Collaborate with families through regular communication, conferences, and progress updates. Guide and mentor assistant teachers and classroom support staff. Implement behavior guidance strategies that encourage social-emotional development. Ensure compliance with state licensing, health, and safety standards. Adapt activities and materials to support diverse learners and learning styles. Partner with center leadership on program improvements and school readiness initiatives. Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
