Job Description
KinderCare is seeking a Lead Teacher for Francis P Donnelly Elementary School to guide engaging, developmentally appropriate learning for elementary-age children. In this role, you will design and deliver standards-based lessons, create a safe and inclusive classroom, and support each child's social, emotional, and academic growth. You will assess progress, communicate frequently with families, and collaborate with colleagues. As a lead, you will mentor assistant teachers and uphold KinderCare's commitment to high-quality early education, diversity, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom instruction for elementary-age children using developmentally appropriate practices. Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards and Kinder Care philosophy. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth. Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Communicate regularly with families about student development and classroom activities. Mentor and guide assistant teachers, modeling best practices in instruction and classroom management. Maintain compliance with school, district, and state regulations and documentation requirements. Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues to support center-wide initiatives and events.
