Little Blue Treehouse believes that children are inherently curious of their natural world; Our primary goal at Little Blue Treehouse is to help children develop their fullest potential based on total human education - this includes developing their cognitive, affective, and social skills, as well as nurturing their physical growth. We have a strong collaborative team of staff that is looking to welcome a new member to our team. This is a unique position for someone who is curious and willing to learn and grow alongside child and adult learners. Those who have more than 2+ years of experience with children ages 2-5 years and within 20 miles are encouraged to apply.
Teacher Responsibilities:
Collaborate in Creating Curriculum Fostering positive social/emotional growth through an environment where the balance of play and developmentally appropriate academic concepts are an essential component Working with parents through the separation process (2s/3s) Potty Training (2s/3s) Serves as a role-model to child learners. Invests in the students' well-being, health, and safety. Demonstrates ability to learn and convey a variety of subject matters quickly. Manages small and large groups of students in a classroom environment and communicates effectively with students, including on potentially sensitive topics. Ability to work with teachers and director in lesson planning and creating well rounded learning opportunities. Adheres to school processes and protocols.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors's degree or study plan in early childhood education A minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children, preferably previous experience from a educational perspective. Comfort, skill, and enjoyment in the writing process Strong oral communication skills and ability to work with parents A questioning stance and curious mind with a high tolerance for ambiguity; Ability to observe carefully and think inductively First Aid/CPR certification plus Speak Mandarin, Spanish, Korean plus but not required Employment Type Full-time Salary commiserates on experience
