The position will start immediately. The ideal lead candidates should have working experience with ages 1-4 year olds. The ideal candidates should be loving and motivated to learn. Please specify in your cover letter with your related experience and the position that you are seeking. We are looking for someone that's caring, hands on and with motivation to learn. Candidates with similar experience preferred.
Minimum Education Requirement For Lead Teacher:
  • AA degree in early childhood education (ECE);
  • CDA and a study plan leading to an associate's degree in ECE within 7 years;
  • Currently enrolled for a degree in early childhood and has a minimum of 9 credits in ECE and two year experience working with infants or toddlers;
  • High school diploma and currently accepted into an associate degree for Early Childhood education.
The goal of teachers at Rainbow CDC is to provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected. To this end the specific responsibilities included, but are not limited to the following: 1) Protects the safety of all children in the center. 2) Directly supervises children at all times. 3) Uses positive phrasing with children. 4) Communicates frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects, actions, using who, what, when, where. and why, and open ended questions. 5) Exhibits behavior management consistent with Rainbow CDC philosophy, including reflecting children's feelings, approaching children to speak with them, directing comments toward children's behavior, not at the children themselves, etc. 6) Lesson planning and co-plays/interacts with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground. 7) Treats each child with dignity and respect, recognizing the cultural and socio-economic diversity of the population.
