Full Time Qualified Childcare Workers: Head Teachers Infants to Preschool

Job Description:

Learn and Play Childcare in Mineola is seeking dedicated and passionate Full-Time Head Teachers to join our team. As a Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. You will lead a team of childcare workers who will be working in your classroom, develop and implement age-appropriate curricula, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curricula and activities. Lead and supervise a team of childcare workers, providing guidance and support. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Ensure compliance with OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services) regulations. Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians. Monitor children's progress and development. Manage classroom supplies and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

Must have completed a CDA (Child Development Associate) or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Psychology, Sociology, or Education. Strong understanding of OCFS regulations and requirements. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment. Passionate about early childhood education and child development. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
