Full Job Description Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of lead teaching experience. Education (minimum): CDA or, Associate's degree in early childhood education or, Bachelor's degree in early childhood education.Role:
The teachers at Manhattan schoolhouse are professionals who are deeply passionate about the individual capability of children to construct their learning. The lead infant room teacher role is to support the children, 3 - 12 months of age in their explorations of the world in a gentle and nurturing manner. To make certain that teachers fulfill this mission, Manhattan Schoolhouse has created a culture of of continuous professional development so that teachers can provide a high quality of care for all of the children and families in the school. Main functions (but not limited to): Design the classroom's overall organization, which includes but is not limited to teachers' roles/responsibilities, schedules, lesson plans, classroom events and transitions. Write the monthly pedagogical plan. Conduct project work sessions with classroom children. Design, write, collaborate upon and deliver observational notes, lesson plans, project folders and larger, school-wide events. Carry out the daily care of the child: greeting the children and families during drop-off and pick-up, leading circle time, setting up provocations, implementing projects, changing diapers, body care and cleaning. Conduct individual meeting with parents. Provide parents continuous and specific information about their children's educational, social and emotional processes in person during drop-off and pick-up and through the Tadpoles' communication server. Responsible for the organization of walks or activities outside the center. Participate in research projects. Meet regularly with the director to collaborate upon all aspects of one's responsibilities and overall care of the children and families of the class. Collaborate with all staff members to ensure the best care for all children is met each and every day.Job Type:
