Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our team. As an Infant Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the social and emotional development of infants. If you have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's lives, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities, including Tummy Time, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, and exploration
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan and coordinate activities
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on their child's progress
  • Follows OCFS and NAEYC guidelines and regulations
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
  • Ability to effectively educate and engage young children in a classroom setting
  • Excellent classroom management skills to ensure a productive learning environment
  • Knowledge of early childhood education techniques, theories, and best practices
  • Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents or guardians, and fellow staff members
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (salary based on education and experience) OR valid CDA Certificate
  • Previous experience working as an Infant Teacher or in a similar role
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
