Location:
Rockville Centre, NY Schedule:
Monday - Thursday | 8:45 AM - 1:15
PM Starting Pay:
$30.00 / hour (plus paid time for setup, parent-teacher conferences, and prep)

As a cooperative school, we value a strong partnership between educators and families to create a nurturing, joyful, and supportive first school experience. Position Overview We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated PreSchool 3s Head Teacher to lead our classroom. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of early childhood development, a passion for child-led play, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cooperative families. Key Responsibilities Lead the
Classroom:
Design and implement a vibrant, developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum for students.
Foster Community:
Maintain open, positive communication with parents and cooperative family participants.
Assess & Connect:
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide insight into student development.
Prepare & Create:
Manage classroom setup and prep to ensure a safe, engaging, and organized learning environment.
Qualifications Certification:
Must hold a valid New York State (NYS) Teacher Certification (Early Childhood certification strongly preferred). Experience teaching in an early childhood setting (experience with play-based or cooperative models is a huge plus). A warm, patient, and collaborative approach to education.
