Lead Early Childhood Teacher-UPK Floater school year position

We are seeking a flexible, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Teacher Floater to support multiple classrooms throughout our Head Start program. Candidate must be willing to work where needed within the Saratoga Springs area and the northern region of the county. Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom coverage and instructional support in various classrooms as assigned
• Implement lesson plans and daily routines in alignment with program standards
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and safety regulations
• Assist with transitions, breaks, and staffing needs throughout the day
• Communicate effectively with teachers and administration regarding classroom needs and student progress Knowledge, skills, abilities: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Valid NYS Teaching Certification in a preschool category. Must have a clean driver's license and be insurable to operate agency vehicles.
• 1 year of full-time teaching experience in an early childhood program. 1 year of experience supervising staff in a child care program with successful and proven techniques for management.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills with the ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings.

Acceptable tuberculosis screening results and an initial health exam are required post job offer and prior to employment. There will be a legally permissible background check for the successful candidate. This is a school year position working daycare hours for 44 weeks per year. Candidates please send a cover letter along with a resume reflecting NYS Teaching Certification in a preschool category. Position starts at $22.70 if candidate has a Bachelor's Degree and holds the required teaching certification. A rate of $24.86 is offered if candidate has a Master's Degree and holds the required teaching certification. A higher rate of pay may also be considered based on previous relevant teaching experience and certification.
