46 Dare Road Selden Ny 11784 About the Position Anchor Nursery School is seeking a creative, caring, and enthusiastic Nursery School Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development, enjoys designing engaging and imaginative learning experiences, and fosters a nurturing environment where children ages 3-4 can explore, grow, and thrive. Responsibilities Collaborate with current lead teachers to assist in classroom activities and routines for the remainder of the current school year. Transition into the lead teacher role in Fall 2026, overseeing a class of 3-4-year-olds. Plan and implement creative, developmentally appropriate lessons that promote curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning experiences to support cognitive and language development. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as needed. Qualifications Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience working with young children (ages 3-4) in a classroom, camp, or childcare setting. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Creative thinker with a passion for developing engaging learning experiences. Schedule 3 days per week , from 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM .
