About us Little Tulip Daycare Center of Williston Park believe a high-quality childcare program is one of the most important pathways for children's cognitive, social and emotional skills to develop, with a positive trajectory for later school success. Our vision is to bring high quality childcare program to children in our community. Our organization is seeking a caring and responsible Preschool Lead Teacher with a genuine love for working with children. The position will require the successful candidate to help children with daily activities, support teaching and classroom activities, and take part in team meetings to help improve curriculum. Job Schedule Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Responsibilities Carry out school wide implemented curriculum, responds to the individual needs and learning styles of children Ensures that children are supervised at all times as well as in the bathroom and outdoor Communicates frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects, actions, using who, what, when, where. and why, and open-ended questions. Exhibits behavior management consistent with Company philosophy, including reflecting children's feelings, approaching children to speak with them, directing comments toward children's behavior, not at the children themselves, etc. Co-plays/interacts with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground. Plans supervised activities for outdoors, or indoor gross motor play during inclement weather which prevents outdoor play Team up with teacher assistant to divide all duties related to childcare, including, potty training, diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing Keep all records such as attendance, timesheets, visitor logs, accident reports, etc. Actively develop and maintain relationships with parents Report accidents, illness, and unusual behavior to the program director Participate in other job duties, as assigned Qualifications Hold a CDA, Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Three years of experience teaching young children Reliable and punctual Meet annual professional development requirements, per
