Job Description

St. Peter School, a vibrant Catholic elementary school in Yonkers, New York, is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Birth-Grade 2 New York State Certified Teacher to join our Early Childhood team for a full-day 4-year-old program. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where young children can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Qualifications Required:

New York State Birth-Grade 2 Teaching Certification Strong knowledge of early childhood curriculum, child development, and best instructional practices Experience designing and implementing engaging, play-based, and standards-aligned instruction Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and families Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with New York State Early Learning Standards Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families Collaborate with colleagues to support student growth and school initiatives About St. Peter School St. Peter School is a faith-filled, welcoming Catholic school serving students from early childhood through Grade 8.
