In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers in implementing educational activities, supervising children during play and routines, and ensuring their well-being at all times. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to promote safety and positive behavior. Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational programs that support childhood development milestones. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to learning and play. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, routines, and any concerns that arise. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately. Support children with diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards. Assist lead teachers in planning and executing activities that foster social-emotional growth, motor skills, and early learning skills. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid, or similar safety training is desirable. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Previous babysitting or caregiving experience demonstrating responsibility and patience with young children.
