Daycare Worker/Teacher 602 Stone Road, Belpre, OH 45714 $12.00 - $12.50 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $12.00 - $12.50 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Worker/Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a nurturing environment for young children to learn, grow, and thrive. In this role, you will implement engaging activities, support children's developmental milestones, and ensure a safe, caring space for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your positive energy and commitment to childhood development will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. Responsibilities Plan and execute age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children in various age groups. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, toileting, and hygiene practices with patience and professionalism. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages learning and creativity while adhering to health and safety standards. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise. Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children and promote respectful classroom conduct. Assist in maintaining accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and incident reports as needed. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus. or willing to get one. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while creating a warm and inclusive environment. Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers through nannying or babysitting roles is advantageous. Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and engage positively with children's families. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting infants or toddlers and maintaining active supervision throughout the day.
