Childcare Lead Teacher Intergenerational Day Care - 1.0 Cleveland, OH Job Details Full-time $13 - $20 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Community engagement Report writing Early childhood education Lesson planning Child Development Associate Certification Facilities maintenance Teaching Full Job Description The Intergenerational Child Care Center, is a 5-star center dedicated to the nurturing, enrichment, and development of children in the 185th and Euclid area. The Lead Teacher is responsible for administering child care program within a designated classroom. This responsibility includes attendance tracking, developing appropriate curriculum, child assessments, assisting with maintaining child records, and additional programs responsibilities to ensure state licensure and SUTQ compliance for effective program operation. Must be able to pass a complete background check.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all licensing requirements as it pertains to their designated classroom are followed and in accordance with ODJFS and SUTQ day care licensing standards. Follows Intergenerational Child Care policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies. 2. Maintain safety of children at all time through appropriately supervising program participants while maintaining Intergenerational Child Care and State licensing staff to child ratios, providing aid when needed, and ensuring daily cleaning and maintenance of facility. 3. Meets with the Site Administrator to review activities and ensure continuity of classroom support strategies, as well as activity preparation and implementation. 4. Implement age-appropriate techniques relative to the behavior management of children to ensure program quality expectations. 5. Actively supervises classroom and proactively manages classroom behaviors. 6. Plan, develop, and implement appropriate lesson plans and activitiesthat are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with Intergenerationalvalues and curriculum guidelines. 7. Complete child screenings, as well as formal and informal assessments. Conducts parent meetings to communicate results, child progress, educational plan and goals, and initiate referrals to support agencies as needed. 8. Attends all staff meetings and trainings. 9. Completes and submits all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports in a timely manner as assigned by Director. 10. Notify Director of any parent concerns or unsafe conditions at center. 11. Provide coverage of program when an assigned teacher is absent, and arrange for substitute instructors in coordination with Director. 12. Follow Intergenerational Child Care and State quality guidelines in operating site. 13. Represent Intergenerational Child Care Center by developing positive working relationships with program participants, parents, school/host personnel and local community groups and/or organizations. 14. Assist in the coordinating of non-school days including developing lesson plans and field trips as assigned by supervisor. 15. Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring daily cleaning and maintenance of classroom and child care center
