Conduct regular assessments of child development using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Engage in classroom management strategies to maintain order and foster respectful interactions among children. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare concerns and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or observations. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and school-wide initiatives such as physical education programs. Maintain current certifications in first aid and CPR to ensure safety at all times. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention practices. Proven experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings, including classroom experience managing young learners. Expertise in behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect, ensuring compliance at all times. Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement into daily activities is a plus. Knowledge of childhood welfare standards within private or public preschool settings. Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with special needs or requiring individualized support plans.
