Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spark Guide (Ages 4.5 - 7) to join our team in our learner-driven and child-led kindergarten environment. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the natural curiosity and exploration of young minds, fostering their independence and love for learning.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate a learner-driven environment where children actively engage in their own learning experiences Support and guide children in exploring their interests and inquiries, adapting lesson plans to align with their individual needs and curiosities Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking Actively observe and listen to children, recognizing and valuing their unique perspectives and contributions to the learning process Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and empathy among students, promoting positive social interactions and relationships Provide guidance and support as children navigate their learning journey, offering scaffolding and assistance when needed while encouraging independence and self-reliance Collaborate with colleagues and parents/guardians to share insights and observations about each child's progress, ensuring a holistic approach to their development Integrate technology and other resources to enhance children's learning experiences and cater to diverse learning styles Embrace flexibility and adaptability, adjusting teaching strategies and approaches based on the evolving interests and needs of the children Uphold a commitment to inclusivity and equity, ensuring that all children have equal opportunities to thrive and succeed in the classroom
Skills:
Deep understanding of child development and the principles of learner-driven education Previous experience working in a child-led or Montessori-inspired environment preferred Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with children, colleagues, and parents/guardians Proficiency in creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture, promoting respect, kindness, and empathy Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of young learners Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan and adapt lessons in response to children's interests and inquiries If you are enthusiastic about empowering children to become lifelong learners, dedicated to creating a supportive and enriching environment, and possess the necessary skills and qualifications, we invite you to apply for the position of Kindergarten Teacher.
