Job Description

Position Overview Little Stories Studio in Downtown Findlay is seeking a warm, dependable, and energetic Studio Guide to create a welcoming environment for children and caregivers during our open play sessions. This role is responsible for preparing the studio for play, welcoming families, maintaining a safe and engaging environment, sanitizing toys and materials, and ensuring that play spaces are set up appropriately for the children attending each session. The ideal candidate enjoys young children, is self-motivated, notices details, and takes pride in creating a clean, inviting space. Responsibilities Studio Setup Prepare the studio before each session Set out age-appropriate toys, sensory materials, books, and activities Adjust play invitations based on the age range of registered children Ensure all materials are clean, organized, and inviting Guest Experience Welcome families as they arrive Assist with check-in procedures Explain studio expectations and safety guidelines Build positive relationships with children and caregivers Create a friendly and encouraging atmosphere Monitor play areas to ensure safe and respectful use Cleaning & Sanitizing Sanitize toys, equipment, and high-touch surfaces between sessions Follow all studio cleaning procedures Restock cleaning supplies as needed Help maintain a clean, organized environment throughout the day Toy Rotation & Organization Rotate toys and play materials regularly Keep storage areas organized Identify worn, damaged, or missing items Suggest new activity ideas and play setups Safety & Supervision Maintain a safe environment for children and caregivers Address minor issues calmly and professionally Report concerns, accidents, or maintenance needs promptly Follow all studio safety policies Additional Duties Assist with birthday parties and special events as needed Support story times and special programming when requested Complete light housekeeping tasks including sweeping, wiping tables, organizing materials, and taking out trash Qualifications Required Experience working with children ages 0-8 Reliable transportation Ability to work independently Comfortable interacting with children and caregivers Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Preferred Experience in childcare, preschool, elementary education, camps, libraries, or similar environments CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Personal Qualities We're Looking For Warm and welcoming Dependable and punctual Patient with children Observant and safety-minded Organized and detail-oriented Takes initiative without being asked Loves creating inviting spaces for children to explore Success in This Role Looks Like Families feel welcomed and cared for. Schedule:
Approximately 15-18 hours per week, primarily weekday mornings OR weekday evenings + some Saturdays, with occasional birthday parties and special events.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
