Job Description
Part-Time Child Care Assistant (Afternoon Closing Position) Almost Home Infant Care & Preschool is an award-winning preschool and child care center in Findlay, Ohio. We are seeking a dependable, caring individual to join our team as a part-time Child Care Assistant for our afternoon closing shift. This position is a wonderful opportunity for college students pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field. It provides valuable hands-on experience working with young children in a high-quality early learning environment while developing skills that will benefit a future career working with children.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. (approximately 15 hours per week) Starting wage: $13-$14 per hour Responsibilities include: Assisting with the care and supervision of infants, toddlers, and preschool children Supporting teachers during afternoon routines and parent pick-up time Assisting with snack service Diaper changing and assisting with children's daily care needs Engaging children in indoor and outdoor play activities Building positive relationships with children and families Communicating professionally and warmly with parents during pick-up Completing classroom preparation and closing responsibilities, including: Vacuuming floors Leaving classrooms clean, organized, and ready for the next day Taking out trash Assisting with closing procedures and securing the building
Qualifications:
High school diploma required Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Reliable transportation Dependable, responsible, and enthusiastic about working with children Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
