As a Lead Teacher, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and high-quality learning environment while leading classroom operations, mentoring team members, and partnering with families to support every child's growth and development. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of classroom operations while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and learning experiences that promote physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and creative growth. Observe, assess, and document children's progress, using observations to guide lesson planning and individualized support. Foster positive relationships with children through responsive interactions, encouragement, and effective classroom management techniques. Supervise, coach, and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to ensure consistency in classroom routines, expectations, and quality standards. Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with all state licensing regulations and company policies. Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, conferences, and daily interactions. Ensure accurate completion of classroom documentation, assessments, attendance records, and required reports. Create an inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued, respected, and supported. Serve as a positive role model and contribute to a collaborative, professional school culture. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience working with young children in a licensed early childhood setting. Experience leading a classroom or demonstrating leadership potential within an early childhood program preferred. Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Knowledge of state licensing regulations and classroom compliance requirements. Ability to effectively manage classroom routines, transitions, and behaviors using positive guidance techniques. Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to mentor, coach, and collaborate with teaching team members. Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and priorities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Successful completion of required background checks. Ability to hear, see, and communicate clearly with or without accommodation. Physical ability to actively engage with children and respond appropriately during emergencies, including building evacuations.
