Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Full-Time Toddler Teacher with at least one year of experience working with young children to join our vibrant early childhood education team at Cardinal Academy Germantown. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for toddlers to explore, learn, and grow. Your dedication will help foster early childhood development through structured activities, positive interactions, and attentive supervision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of little learners while working in a supportive and dynamic setting. Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for toddlers. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times through vigilant child supervision. Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a clear and compassionate manner. Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, and classroom documentation in accordance with licensing standards. Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions while adhering to health and safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures. Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive classroom environment that supports early childhood education best practices. Requirements Minimum of one year of experience working with toddlers or in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or preschools. OCCRRA account needed, with Professional Development hours logged. Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is preferred. Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong classroom management skills paired with effective behavior management techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children in a professional manner. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Passion for teaching young children and fostering their growth through engaging activities. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
