Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers' developmental stages, and foster a warm, safe, and stimulating environment. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, supports their social-emotional growth, and promotes a love for learning from an early age. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives while collaborating with dedicated staff and engaging with families to support their child's development. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early childhood development standards. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, physical activity, and cognitive growth in toddlers. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and nurturing environment. Monitor and document each child's progress through observations and assessments. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's milestones, challenges, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Supervise assistant teachers or support staff, providing mentorship and guidance to uphold high-quality childcare standards. Have a clean and inviting classroom. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers aged 1-3 years old. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement among young children. Ability to develop creative lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory activities suitable for toddlers. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication, team collaboration, and community engagement. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies tailored for young children with diverse needs. Certification in first aid and CPR, communicable disease and child abuse recognition a plus. Classroom experience in daycare or preschool environments is a must.
