Job Description

This position is as needed but has the ability to become a full-time position (if desired)
Summary of Duties:
The substitute is responsible for working cooperatively with all staff to prepare and conduct age appropriate daily activities, prepare educational materials required to implement daily activities, maintain appropriate order and discipline, maintain an orderly physical environment, enforce safety and have knowledge of fire, lockdown, and tornado drill procedures. The substitute is also responsible for assisting children with self-care as needed, assisting with meal and nap times, clean up, and other duties as outlined in the Shawnee Weekday Early Learning Center Staff Handbook. Substitute staff may be utilized in both the Infant Toddler Building and the Preschool Building, and may be responsible for small groups of children. This position is on an as needed basis, to cover for full time staff when they are unable to be at work.

    Child Development Associate (CDA).

    Commensurate with education and experience.
