Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education Love's Learning Loft Position Summary Love's Learning Loft is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children while ensuring compliance with all state licensing and Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and a passion for early childhood development. Qualifications (Required) Must have a CPL Level 3 or higher in Ohio's Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) Must pass a comprehensive background check (BCI/FBI) Must have a current medical statement signed by a licensed physician Prior experience working in a licensed childcare or early learning setting Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices Key Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with SUTQ standards Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Maintain compliance with Ohio licensing regulations and center policies Supervise children at all times and ensure their health and safety Conduct ongoing assessments and documentation of children's progress Build strong, professional relationships with families and caregivers Communicate regularly with parents regarding child development and daily activities Maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and assessments Lead and support assistant teachers and classroom staff Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation practices Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and classroom management skills Reliable, responsible, and professional Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Passion for working with children and supporting their growth Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move quickly as needed Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day What We Offer (optional - include if you want) Supportive team environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work making a difference in children's lives
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
