Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture young minds and support their developmental journey. In this role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children from infancy through preschool age. Your positive energy and caring attitude will make a lasting impact on children's growth while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in classroom management, child development instruction, and caregiving within a supportive team setting. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Assist with daily classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure children's needs are met promptly and compassionately Engage children in educational play, arts and crafts, storytime, and other activities that foster curiosity and learning Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment by following health and safety protocols including mandated reporting laws and pediatric first aid procedures Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform instructional strategies and communicate with parents or guardians as needed Support inclusive practices by working with children with special needs or disabilities using specialized techniques in line with early childhood education standards Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, behavior management, classroom management techniques, and emergency response procedures Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and knowledge of mandated reporting laws are required or must be obtained upon hire Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom experience with toddlers or infants preferred; familiarity with preschool environments is advantageous Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a nurturing environment Demonstrated commitment to child safety, health standards, and inclusive teaching practices Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children! Pay:
