Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as an Incredible Years Classroom Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in education, social work, social sciences, nursing or related field, experience in early childhood education and child development, and knowledge about what promotes optimal parent-child and teacher-child interaction. Candidates holding an associate level degree will be considered, based on relevant work experience. As an Incredible Years Classroom Support Specialist, you will be helping to increase positive parenting and caregiving skills, supporting children's social-emotional development, and supporting teachers in effective classroom management. In a typical day, you may help kindergarten students learn how to manage stress, navigate friendships and support their academic success, while also supporting parents, caregivers and teachers in learning how to effectively manage challenging behaviors. You will end your day knowing you have positively impacted the life of a young person or family. Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum plans
- Provide individualized and group support to students
- Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment
- Support children in developing social emotional skills
- Support teachers in managing classroom behavior and activities Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly in a preschool or kindergarten setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Familiarity with Incredible Years curriculum and implementation
