The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding the educational development of students, implementing curriculum, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's growth. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and exploration. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere. Assess student progress through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations, adapting teaching methods as necessary. Collaborate with specialists, including speech therapists and behavioral health professionals, to support students with diverse needs. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities. Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers and support staff. Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, including Montessori methods and childhood development strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Proven experience in preschool or early childhood settings, with knowledge of childhood development principles. Familiarity with behavioral health practices and experience working with students who have developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to create an inclusive environment for all learners. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of education. Certification in First Aid/CPR is a plus.
