Job Description

The Goddard School is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our organization! All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position must be working towards or have a degree in early education or a related field.
Related Degrees Include, But May Not Be Limited To:
Elementary Education Psychology or Sociology Child Development Child Life Special Education Communications In addition, all candidates must meet the below criteria:
Qualifications:
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields Passionate about working with children Ability to build rapport with children Positive and patient demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills A Teacher's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Promote Goddard School philosophy and educational objectives Support a code of ethical conduct Pursue professional development/continuing education Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences and professional growth opportunities Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom Develop an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom Ensure that classroom equipment is in good repair Promote healthy eating practices at lunch and snack times The Goddard School offers the following industry leading benefits: $20+ per hour pending qualifications & experience Paid Vacation & Holidays after 90 days (including the week between Christmas & New Year!) Continuing Education About Goddard School:
The Goddard School is an early education and childcare center that offers programs for children ages twelve weeks to six years old. Our program focuses on building a love of learning through play-based education. Teachers at our school are career educators and work closely with our Director of Education to craft a curriculum that prepares students to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
