Primrose School of Westlake is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. What We Offer Competitive pay based on education and experience Full-time opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance options Short-term disability Paid time off Paid holidays Meals provided on site Professional development and training Opportunities for advancement and leadership growth Supportive school and regional leadership A positive, professional work environment What You'll Do As a Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you will: Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum Prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for their next stage of learning Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences throughout the day Maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations Encourage independence, confidence, problem-solving, and positive peer interactions Observe and document children's development and progress Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom Communicate professionally and positively with families Work collaboratively with your teaching partner and school leadership Maintain required classroom ratios and follow all Ohio Department of Children and Youth licensing requirements Follow all Primrose School health, safety, supervision, and classroom policies What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate: Has experience working with Preschool and/or Pre-Kindergarten-aged children Is dependable and committed to consistent attendance Has strong classroom-management and communication skills Understands the importance of active supervision throughout the entire day Works well as part of a team Accepts coaching and feedback professionally Communicates respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and leadership Is organized, energetic, patient, and nurturing Takes pride in providing an exceptional classroom experience for children and families Meets all applicable Ohio DCY requirements for employment in a licensed child care program Early childhood education experience is strongly preferred. Relevant education, credentials, or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus.
