Job Description
Child Care Assistant Teacher KidsTown Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional growth, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education activities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and facilitating age-appropriate behavior management strategies Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote social skills, creativity, and cognitive development Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials, setting up learning centers, and maintaining a clean environment Provide attentive toddler care and support for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth Support curriculum development efforts by contributing ideas for lesson planning and activity enhancement based on individual child needs Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues Ability to assist in lesson planning focused on literacy education, math skills, Montessori methods or preschool curricula Certification or training in special education or working with individuals with autism is advantageous Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and inspired!
