Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills in accordance with educational standards. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's developmental needs are met through tailored activities. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and behavior management strategies to maintain an organized learning space. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and welfare of all children in your care. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred but not required. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in child welfare and safety protocols is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children alike. Demonstrated ability to follow engaging lesson plans that foster physical activity, math skills, literacy growth, and social-emotional learning. $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
