Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to stimulate early childhood development. Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages positive behavior management and supports children's social-emotional growth. Engage with children through interactive lessons, play-based activities, and individualized attention to meet diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies. Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and organization while maintaining compliance with childcare standards. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's overall welfare. Conduct assessments using standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental milestones and tailor lesson plans accordingly. Support classroom management by fostering respectful interactions among children and guiding behavior in a constructive manner. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential; classroom experience with toddlers to preschoolers is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience in curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood education methodologies like Montessori. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support children with diverse needs. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Proven ability to plan lessons that incorporate educational standards while fostering creativity and curiosity. Knowledge of childcare regulations, child welfare practices, and safety protocols within private school or daycare environments is advantageous.
