Job Description

Lead Teacher Toddlers Granny & Dot's is a private family owned Christian Faith based 4 STAR preschool in Owasso, OK. This position is for an immediate position as a Lead Teacher in our toddler classroom. This position is open because the previous employee moved away after 3 years of employment so there are big shoes to fill. Our toddler classroom will have a ratio of 1:8 with an additional teaching assistant as needed. Granny & Dot's has its own custom curriculum based on the Fruits of the Spirit with lesson plans already created. The master teacher is responsible for the overall direction of the classrooms daily activities and curriculum implementation.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience. Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. A strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice with children. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. Must clear a full background check.
Educational Requirements:
Child Development Associate (CDA), or Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood Education, or Associates in Early Childhood Education, or Level 4 or higher on the OK Professional Development Ladder with Early Learning Guidelines (Preferred) Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement including but not limited to listed in the OKDHS Requirements for Childcare Centers Section OAC 340: 110-3-284.1 (b3
