We are proud to be NAC Accredited and committed to providing a high-quality, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and develop a strong foundation for life. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dependable Lead Teacher for our Toddler Classroom to join our team immediately. This is an opportunity to step into a well-established classroom with a strong foundation. Our previous Lead Teacher was with Granny & Dot's for three years before relocating, and we are looking for someone who is ready to build upon the positive relationships and classroom culture she helped create. About the Toddler Classroom Our Toddler Classroom is designed to provide children with a safe, structured, and engaging environment that supports their growing independence and development. Classroom ratio of approximately 1 teacher to 8 children Additional teaching support provided as needed Established classroom routines and expectations Supportive leadership team Opportunities to build meaningful relationships with children and families Our Curriculum Granny & Dot's has developed its own custom Fruits of the Spirit curriculum , incorporating character development, early academics, social-emotional learning, science, art, STEAM, and hands-on experiences. Lesson plans and curriculum resources are provided, allowing our teachers to focus on meaningful implementation, engagement, and individualizing learning for the children in their classroom. The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall direction of the classroom's daily activities, maintaining a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, and ensuring that classroom practices support each child's development. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a confident and caring early childhood professional who can lead a classroom while working collaboratively with our entire team.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills and ability to learn and utilize childcare technology High energy, patience, dependability, and a positive attitude Ability to work effectively with children, families, and fellow team members Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a structured, clean, engaging, and nurturing classroom Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with families Ability to take initiative and follow through with classroom responsibilities Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification Must successfully complete a required background check and meet all applicable childcare employment requirements Educational Requirements Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following: Child Development Associate ( CDA ) Certificate of Mastery in Early Childhood Education Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Level 4 or higher on the Oklahoma Professional Development Ladder with Early Learning Guidelines training Teachers are expected to maintain a personal professional development plan and participate in ongoing professional development to support continuous quality improvement and meet applicable Oklahoma childcare and NAC requirements.
