$17.00-$17.50 per hour (depending on experience) Spend Your Day Making Dogs' Lives Better Mountain Dogs Pet Resort is looking for caring, dependable individuals who want more than "just a job with dogs." We focus on providing structured play, mental enrichment, exercise, and positive social experiences that help every dog feel safe, confident, and happy. If you're someone who enjoys being active, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to learn about canine behavior and communication, we'd love to meet you. Daily Responsibilities Every shift is different, but your day may include: Monitoring dog playgroups and encouraging safe interactions Recognizing canine body language and responding appropriately Creating fun enrichment opportunities that keep dogs mentally stimulated Helping dogs settle during rest periods and meal times Maintaining clean, sanitized play areas and boarding spaces Documenting meals, medications, behaviors, and daily updates Working alongside teammates to provide exceptional care throughout the day Ensuring every dog has a safe, enjoyable experience from arrival to pickup Who You Are You might be a great fit if you: Have a genuine love for dogs and animal welfare Enjoy an active job that keeps you moving Stay calm under pressure and pay attention to details Work well independently while also being a reliable teammate Take pride in cleanliness and organization Are dependable, punctual, and eager to learn Communicate professionally with coworkers and pet parents Experience in dog daycare, boarding, grooming, veterinary medicine, or animal care is helpful, but not required. We provide hands-on training for candidates with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Physical Demands This is a physically active position.
Applicants should be comfortable:
Standing, walking, and moving for most of their shift Frequently bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds Safely handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, and energy levels Working in an environment with frequent barking and other animal-related noise Cleaning up animal waste, accidents, vomit, and other messes as part of daily care Regularly using commercial cleaning products and disinfectants to maintain a clean, sanitary facility Following strict cleaning and sanitation protocols throughout the day Working both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Moving quickly while remaining aware of dogs, coworkers, and surroundings to maintain a safe environment Why Join Mountain Dogs?
